Here are the cards, they are created with card stock from Heidi Swapp and Echo Park designer Lori Whitlock.

Here is the a front view of the Craft we will be making. This sweet Album is crated with Graphic 45 "A Ladies Diary" card stock.

Here is the back of the album.

When you first open it this is what you will see. Belly bands on either side that holds cards for pictures or journaling.

When you open further you will have pockets and places to slip more photos and even more pretty photo cards

Here is another view fully opened.

Can't wait to see you before the Christmas Holiday. Be sure to text me so I can get a count. Don't want to miss anyone for a gift. Looking forward to our time together.

October Craft & Crop at the Bird House Card Project

This is called the accordion card. Here is what it looks like from the front.

When you open it this is what you see. You can make these for any occasion.

Here is a view from the back.

October Craft & Crop at the Bird House craft project.

I started off with a 12" wire form I purchased at Walmart for 1.77 and I chose some Christmas theme paper. You can create this wreath for any holiday or season.

Next you will need to cut the large patterned pieces at 4 X 4 and then solid at 3 X 3

Then you will glue the 3 X 3 solid squares one on each of the larger 4 X 4 squares placing them in one corner leaving 1/4 in showing.

You will then shape and hot glue them into cones. Once you have enough to go around the form you will fold the tip of the cone around the second wire and hot glue it in place. You will cut patterned pieces 3 X 3 and solid pieces 2 X 2 and do the same with them. When they are done fold the tip of the smaller cones over the center wire of the form and hot glue them in place.

This is what your wreath will look like. I added medium size red bells to the center between every other cone. It came out real cute

Here is what it will look like from the back.

 And from the front.

September "Craft & Crop at the Bird House Card Project

I found the idea for this card when I worked at Brookdale in some really old craft stuff that was being thrown out.  It was the size of a gift card, but I decided with some tweaking, I could make a regular card from the design. I wish I could give credit to the designer, but have no idea who this person was.

The card base for this project is an envelope. You can use any size, that will determine what the end size will be. I used an 8 3/4 X 5 3/4 envelope. I purchased these a couple of years ago from Walmart. They were boxes of wedding invitations you print your info on. They were in the clearance Isle. I saw some there a few days ago but, I still have plenty. I have used these a couple of times for projects and I paid $1.50 for 50 ct. boxes.

Starting with the envelope I scored in on each side, then cut the sections at the left and right top of the flap just into the score mark, at a angle. then I cut 2 pieces of patterned paper in a square, and lining them up one on the bottom of flap and one on the top of flap. Then I cut one piece of white card stock into a square 1 /8 inch smaller and centered and layered it on the top. I had stamped Celebrate across it and added some rhinestones. I took the envelope and stamped here and there all over. And then cut a piece ribbon and attached to the back of the envelope making it long enough to bring around the card and tie in a bow. Now cut a piece of patterned card stock 1 /8 inch larger than the folded card and attached it.

Next I took a piece of patterned card stock and cut it 4 X 5 and a piece of white card stock cut 1/8 smaller and stamp my sentiment on it and layer it on to the patterned piece. This will slid right into the center of the envelope.

Now just fold in the gate fold flaps inward and fold over the top flap and tie your bow. You have a sweet card to give someone you care about.

This was a nice way to use these envelopes. You can make it any theme you need.
Can't wait to make this with you. Sept. 16 at 6:30 pm. at my house. Remember, if you have signed up and can't make it for some unforeseen reason, please text me so I can move someone on the waiting list into your seat.  See you then!

September "Craft & Crop at the Bird House Craft Project

I have seen a lot of Paper Bag albums, and I have never made one before. They always made me think of a kids craft project. Something that I would have done with my Girl Scout Troop in the past. Then a new friend of mine said that she wanted to learn how to make one. So I went on line and watched a couple of videos and still was not happy with the way they looked. I have made lots of albums in the past and decided to add the chipboard cover to one and so glad I did. This looks so nice for a paper bag album.

To decorate the cover, I used a Stampin' Up set that I purchased from a friend (Candi). I stamped the flower on teal and rust card stock and then fuzzy cut around it. I did the same with the stamp used for the center of the flower and then attached them with foam squares to give them and the quote I framed that 3-D look. I also used a stamp (Camera) I purchase from the $1.50 bin at Micheal's Crafts. I stamped the camera on white card stock and then cut around it, chalked it and framed it. I printed the quote on my printer and cut around it and then framed it multiple times with different color card stock scraps and attached to the front.

Here is an over view so you can see the bags and how I used them.

Here you can see that the album is about 2 inches thick.

This is the first page as you open the album. You can see where I glued the bags together at the bottom flaps, I attached only the top and bottom so that I had a pocket for a photo mat.

Here is a view so you can see inside the bags where I have slipped photo mats in each page.

Here are the pages after I decorated each one.

The theme was Selfies, and I found some sweet quotes to go along with it.

This would be a great album for a teen starting High School or Junior High, all the photos that they take together with their friends.

I used K&Company Paper packs that I picked up last year from Tuesday Morning, one of my favorite places to shop for craft supplies.

Here I tried to show you that you can slide a photo mat in each fold of the album pages where the bags are attached. There are places for 29 photos, you could even add more if you wish.

I also used my the Stampin' Up flower kit to stamp this little butterfly here and there.

I used this cute flower stamp that I decorated the front cover and stamped it here and there.

The flower stamp is in two separate stamps and I used just the flower center stamp here.

This was a really fun project for me. It is very simple to create. I hope those who have signed up for Sept. "Craft & Crop" will enjoy making it.
Remember, if you have signed up and decide you can not make it, text me so I can move someone on the waiting list into your seat.
Can't wait to see you all.

These are the items that come with this device when you purchase it new. The first cord with wide attachments on both ends you will use if you want to link more cartridges to your Gypsy. The small end goes in your Gypsy and you attach your cartridge to the large end and then follow the prompts on your screen. The next cord to the right is the power cord. You plug the little round attachment to your Gypsy and the other to your wall outlet. This is used to recharge the device so that you can take it anywhere with you and work on projects. I used it once to design my page in the Dr. Office while waiting on my Granddaughter. The Third cord to the right is used to attach the Gypsy to your Cricut to that you can now cut out your design on your machine. The forth cord is to attach the round end to your Gypsy and the Ethernet plug to your computer so you can up load any new information to your Gypsy.
Here is a shot with the device turned on

Here is the next screen you will see.
This is not the best photo, but here you have more choices you can choose from. You can design and make a folder like on your PC and save it and go on to create more while you are away from home and create as many folders as you like and then when you get home attach your Gypsy to your Cricut and open each file to cut your design.
This shot shows your mat, you choose the size mat you want. and then you choose the cartridge you want to work with, You can pick cuts from multiple cartridges and design with any cuts on a single mat.
Here I have chosen a font cartridge
And a different font cartridge, I can mix and match letters or shapes.
Here is the protective sleeve that comes with the device, it also has a stylist to use on your touch screen. I would like $200.00 for this Gypsy and the 114 cartridges it hold. If you are interested text me at 817-999-8223

August "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House

August 19 at 6:30 pm to Midnight will be our next event. Please text me if you want to reserve a seat. 817-999-8223.
Here is the craft we will be creating. I love this one because I love Sunflowers, so this will be our them.

I started off with a 12" wire wreath form I purchased at Walmart ($1.77)

Then I took 122 clothes pins and dyed them with Ritz dye over night. I did this times twelve you won't have to if you are just making one wreath.

Next I put the clothes pins on the lower (largest) ring making sure that the wire is in the smaller whole notch closest to the clothes pin spring. Then put the next row over the two smaller rings of the wreath also making sure you are clipping then into the small notches.

Next I took a bottle of brown paint and brushed paint all the way around the center of the flower and let it dry.

You will need to hear up your hot glue gun. I will be adding this pretty dragonfly when I decorate it.

I made this burlap bow to decorate my wreath $1.00 from Dollar Tree for enough to make 3 bows
The dragonflies were two in a pack for $1.00

These pretty purple flowers and sweet Sunflowers were $1.00 per bush from Dollar Tree

Once I hot glued my decorations to the Sunflower wreath, it cam out so sweet,
boy I really need to paint my door!

But despite my ugly door, the wreath looks very nice.

I can't wait to create this with you. Don't forget to text me so I know how many to prepare for.

Now for the Card we will be creating.

Staying with the Sunflower theme, I created this 4 fold card. Sorry this came out blurry. But you get the idea.

Here is a view with the card open completely. You can read the inspirational Verse and quote.

Here is another view, this card was so much fun to create. The flowers came form Cricut Cartridge Walk in My Garden. The Picture of the sunflower, I printed from the internet.

Someone will love receiving this card!

Ok, Next is the two page scrapbooking pages we will create.

Here are the tow pages side by side. The smaller flowers came from Cricut Cartridge Holiday Cakes, it cuts 5 flowers in one cut. This is also where I cut the green vines that I put the flowers on for the right page.
The flowers on the left are from Walk in my garden again and so are the stems. I layered the flowers to give them the 3-D look putting foam squares to keep them lifted up and over the photo frames so pictures can be added.

I found some sweet quotes and verses to add and make the pages really special. This is the right page.

These are the verses on page 2

I hope you will enjoy working on these projects as much as I enjoyed creating them for you.

Don't forget to text your seat reservation or call me if you like.
