May 2017 "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House

I wanted to share with you the 2 page Scrapbook kit we will be creating for May, the theme is "Spring".

I wanted to use more of this beautiful Graphic45 "Time To Flourish" Collection. Our pages have 6 spots this time for photos. I have created 3-D flowers and embellishments with my Cricut Die Cut machine. Some blue ribbon from my stash and some rhinestones to add a little bling. This page was simple to make, and looked a little boring till I added the embellishments and bling.

I cut the word "Spring" with my Cricut and used the shadow button to give it a little pop.

Here is just one of the embellishments I added. I used some little square foam stickers to make the flowers 3-D and the little blue and yellow design is layered. then I added the leaves and rhinestone.

I found this scripture on line and printed it using the font I liked and cut it out and added layers in the contrasting colors I needed, then I used foam stickers to make it 3-D. the flower, leaves and blue and yellow design have foam too to give it that 3-D look.

And finally these are done in the same style as the other flowers using foam squares oh, I chalk most everything. I love the way it makes things look. If you are not familiar with using chalk or ink. Make two of something and use it on one and not on the other and you will want to chalk everything. "-)  I added the rhinestones to finish it off. It came out so cute.
Hope you will join us for food, crafts and fun.

May 2017 "Craft & Crop" Card Project

Here is the card project we will be doing. It was requested that I do a "Spring" theme. So all of the May projects are bursting with flowers, scripture and quotes about Spring.

This a simple stair step style card. I used my Cricut die cut machine for all the flowers and the center card holders. It makes little cut outs to slip in the cards and hold them in place. You could even change the quotes if you wanted to say something different. Perhaps a Birthday or Friend sentiment.

Here is a side view so you can see how the card is folded

I added a ribbon and bow from my stash, and some different size rhinestones to add some bling. Then last I added some leaves also cut with my Cricut die cut machine. I love this machine!

2017 May "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House

Ok ladies, here is the craft we will be creating.

This is a sweet 6X6 photo album with multi folds, multi pockets, and multi tuck spots. This album has a ribbon closure. I have used some beautiful glossy papers, some of my favorite papers from Graphic45, and more that I purchased from Tuesday Morning, I love that store!

Here you can see the variety of page and flaps, a pocket and tuck spot for you to add your photos to.

Here I have you can see some of the wonderful Graphic45 paper from their "Time To Flourish" Collection. I have also added some 7Gypsies paper.

I am partial to birds since I married one, and 7Gypsies has this cool paper with birds that I have used here and there throughout the album. That cool paper with the butterfly is glossy and I added that tuck band using the "Time to Flourish"  from Graphic45.

From the left to right, I used 7Gypsies with the pretty bird cage, Graphic45 " Time To Flourish", then on the center flaps I used 7Gypsies cut in half so when the flaps are closed you can see the whole picture, and behind the flaps is glossy green design and I created a pocket for photos with Graphic45 "Time To Flourish", next is glossy paper with yellow flowers and a tuck spot, then again on small flap I used 7Gypsies.

Here is a better view of the center with flaps open so you can see the pocket.
This was a fast project and fun to create, you could whip these up in a pinch to give as a gift or use in a craft class.
Hope you will join us to create this pretty photo Album.
Remember to text me if you want a seat reserved, 817-999-8223. We will meet this Saturday May 13th at 6:30pm to Midnight.
