Christmas in July at Craft & Crop at the Bird House

We had a great time and the cards that these ladies created and shared with each other were so pretty. The have really come out of their shells and are letting the creative juices flow. I loved the cards. So, here they are. These are the ones I did, but each lady added their own touches to their cards. I want to thank you girls for all the time and supplies you put into these cards.

This one was designed by Susan P. So cute! The snowman was done with circles. Sorry I touched the Stickels glitter glue before it was dry. I will have to touch it up.

She added a scripture, I Love that!

This cutie was created by Rita F. I love that you get a treat along with a cute card.

This pretty card was done by Tobie, she is new to our group and we love her. She did a great job! I added a little ink around the candy strip to make it pop out just a little.

I loved the poem she added. So, beautiful and true. Thank you Tobie for this wonderful card.

This card was quickly created 25 minites before the start of our event, Deniz whipped this cutie up and what a card!

She incorporated tags into her card. Tags are great for Journaling your photos or for adding more photos, and pockets add a little curiousity for the person who recieves the card.
Very nice Deniz, a fun card to make.

This beauty was created by Pamela H. She did some heat embossing, I have never tried this! It came out so pretty, and she added brads and an embelishment.
She then did a little more on the inside of the card. Some were done in silver and some in Blue. I loved them both. Oh, so pretty Pamela!
This card was done by someone in our group and they forgot to take it home. If this is your card, you can pick it up at our next event. I like how this person tilted the layers to grab your attention. Very nice idea! This one was heat embossed with the Blue.
And inside Pamela used silver. Looks great!
This was another card left behind. I like the little swirls, thay remind me of small gusts of snow. Who ever left this one, I will save it for the next event and you can get it then.
I want to thank you all for a wonderful evening. And if anyone needs help with their pages we did, let me know and we can get together and finish them.
I am so looking forward to Aug. 23 for our next Craft & Crop at the Bird House. We will be working on a really cute card! And the them for our pages will be "Don't Mess With Texas" I have a list going for reserve seats here it is.

"Craft & Crop" at the Bird House Page Kits

I spent a little time with Deniz (Craft & Crop" regular). And together we made an album. Then we proceeded to create pockets here and there on the different pages as we decorated them. I have had company for the past week with my Daughter and her three children and the two grandkids who live with us and it has been pretty cazy around here. But in a good way. I have not seen her for more than a year. So, with little time spent in the craft room, Deniz brought me a cool idea with the pockets. I created our pages with lots of pockets and tabs that you can add photos to besides the normal three to 4 that I usually make room for. You are going to love this! I saw the coolest rod iron picture easal that would be great for a pages like these, where you can put last years Christmas photos in the different pocket and share them when family and friends come over. They will be pulling out the differnt tabs with curiosity wanting to see what they will find next!

 Here they are.
I cut the MerryCristmas with Jubulee Font CricutCartridge and it has three layers.
I found this great Quote (just what it needed)
Page 1  This is the first tab and it has four spaces on the four sides, and then three pokets with little tabs that pull out ready for journing about the photos you choose to attach.
Than you can fit it right back in the pocket made for it.

the next pocket down has a large tab. I used some pretty glitter ribbon that Deniz gave to me our night together crafting. I added a glitter brad to attach so you can pull it out of it's pocket. You can put photos on both sides if you which or one side and journal on the other side.
The third pocket also has a large tab. I added a cute little tab to it to use when pulling it out. You can tie ribbon to it or like I did, just add some glitter glue. As with the last tab, you can put two photos or journaling.
Here is the view of third and forth tabs, they are the same size, one is turned so that it sticks out higher than the other
Then the next tabs are on either side of the normal photo spaces and you can journal about the photos.
 Page 2.
I have one large tab that will take two photos and then two smaller tabs on each side of the normal photo spaces to journal.
Then I added some embelishments here an there. I cant't wait to do this one with you and add my ownphotos

Hope you will join me and have a great time.

"Craft & Crop" at the Bird House Craft Project

We will be making cards that have been created by some of the ladies who join me every month for our "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House event. So, I wanted the craft to be simple and quick. This is a Card Box. I have been trying ti figure out how to put some of the really 3-D decked out cards out there in an envelope. They just don't look very attractive in a bulging envelope. I found this the other day and thought it would really look great. You can decorate it in any them you choose and it is fast and simple to make. You will receive the Templete in your other supplies when we meet up tomorrow July 26 at 6:30 at my home.
You can see that when you open it you have plenty of room to put a really thick decorated card or a large cookie ect.
Hope to see you and make this together.

"Craft & Crop" At the Bird House Christmas in July

Here we go with our second year of Christmas in July. Here is the card I have made to share with the ladies. Can't wait to see with what they have come up with.

I found these pre-cut cards from Studio B at Walmart. The holes were already in the cards, I just cut my ribbon (1/8 inch) red ribbon threw them and when they meet in the right center I tied a bow. I hadsome red metallic sheets from Martha Stewart Craft Designer paper pad (Christmas) patterns and cut a square, then white card stock 1/4 inch smaller and layerd on top, then a strip of the red metallic scraps and layered that. Then I took a Martha Stewart Snowflake trim punch and cut a piece to fit in the scrap strip and added little rhinestones to that.
I cut the greenery for the nest and the red Cardinal from Cricut Cartridge, "Winter Woodland". I purchased the little snow flake buttons from Jo-Ann's.

Once I finished decorating the red metallic layered square, I used foam square stickers to attach it to the white card.

On the inside I cut and framed this wonderful poem that this lady's sister wrote for her. Remember to always give credit to the original author of any quote or poem you use in your creations. I hope you  like it. I think it turned out great. I would be happy to find this in my mail box. Can't wait to see you ladies tomorrow at 6:30 at the Bird House. I still have a couple of openings if you know someone who would like to come. They won't be expected to make cards at this late date but they will get some to create.
call for my address if you decide you would like to come. 817-595-528412 leave a message and I will call you back.
