Here are Saturday April 26 "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House Projects

Sorry I am way behind on getting these completed project posted so you can get a look at what we will be doing for this Saturday's Craft & Crop. I have been gone for almost a month and our family is getting back to normal.

Here are the pages we will be doing. I love the bird cage and have been wanting to do something with it. I also love this sweet bird from "Home Decor" Cricut cartridge. The flowers and window boxes are from "Freshly Picked"
This is the quote for page one. I love it!
This window with the curtain comes from "Creative Cards" Cricut Cartridge, I added some pearl stickers.
I added a stamped quote that really says it. I love gardening.
I attached some shear ribbon from Jo-Anns and then tied a small piece to it.
This is a better shot of the bird.
and another close up of the flowers. The purple and yellow came from "Freshly Picked" and the pink ones and the  leaves came from "Home Decor" it is one of the older seasonal cartridges.

I hope you will enjoy creating this I am so excited to be back. I missed you all so much. I know you had a great time with Candi and I was grateful that she was able to step in and take my place. But, I  am looking forward to see you all.

OK, here is the craft for "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House

This is cute and simple. I have made these little sour cream containers before, but this is made to resemble a carrot and is so sweet.

Here is how I made it. Cut your paper to 5"X 6 inches and roll like a cylinder use hot glue to clue it so it is shaped like a empty toilet paper roll. Then smash one of the ends flat and hot glue it shut. Add candy or some treat and then take a 5 inch piece of card stock in green and if you have a crimping tool you can use it but I did not. So, I used my Martha Stewart score board and scored the piece every 1/4 inch then folded it back and forth like a fan. Then I cut across the folds but not all the way. I left 1/4 inch. then I cut it in 3 or 4 sections and layered them on top of each other as shown above and hot glued them to the opening on the other end. Then smash the other end shut but in the opposite direction from the other end and used Hot glue to seal it shut. Then I cut a 2" scallop circle out of patterned paper and a regular circle with shadow and then regular cut at 1 1/4". then you can stamp your message on it. I also applied chalk ink to the edges of all three pieces. You can poke a hole at the top and the container and put a ribbon through to attach the tag. It came out really cut. Hope you have fun with this.

This is the card we will be creating for March 22 "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House.

I found this cute card on Pintrest and just had to figure out how to make it. It turned out great!

This cute little card is shaped like an egg and I added some cute embelishments that I cut on my Cricut along with the brown bunny. I added some rine stones to the layered flowerw and used my Martha stewart punch for the trim. This card started with a white base and then I cut a patterned egg at 1/4 inch smaller. I then cut the egg into two pieces and glued the bottom half close to the edge leaving the top open in order to slide another smaller egg inside. The top half is where I took a brad and attached it just at the left side so it could be moved up and down to open the card and take out the smaller one with my message on it. I found some great quotes and added one to the front and one to the inside on the egg where my message will be.

I love this card!!!

Here is the egg that I will insert in the pouch. Don't ya just love it?

Take a look at what's coming for March "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House.

We will be doing an Easter theme for March 22 projects. Here are the pages

I found this cute accumulation of sweet words concerning Easter and had to add it to our project.

I found a cute rabbit and figured out how I could make it using ovals of different sizes and a scallop circle for the tail.

This was the best part of the project. This heart was cut 6 1/2 X 4 and I used a scallop circle for the purple back piece and embossed it, then I found a decorative cut from Cricut cartridge Ornamental Iron 2 and cut it in white and layered it on the purple, then put the cross on next, now I cut a purple heart from George and basic shapes at 2" shadow and a white one at normal 2" and the white one I embossed in a different pattern. Then layered that on the cross. I then took a 1/4 inch purple ribbon and wrapped it around the cross and placed a pearl sticker in the center It was great!
I found this on line and loved it. It made this whole page come together. Hope you like it and have a great time putting it together at "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House on March 22 at my home Sat. at 6:30, don't forget to bring a dish.
Here are the names I have reserved seats for, if you can not make it please let me know so I can fill the spot. I have one spot left open.

Check out our pages for February 22 "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House

This is our pages I created using Precious Moment images. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch I just purchased and cut the clovers from colored and glittered card stock and my favorite tool the Cricut and the cartridge A Childs' Year. All of the other embellishments I printed from my computer and some of them I framed. I loved finding all of the sweet Irish blessings and the wonderful cross I used is dedicated to our preacher who sends us home each Sunday with this loving blessing.

Our first page I added some silver glitter paper to frame most of the blessings my image of the little red head and the waiting picture area. I added a few rhinestones to give it a little more bling. I used some foam stickers to add dimension to some of the embellishments.

The second page has this adorable little boy and his best friend and buddy. I used some pretty lace, Glitter paper for the frame and gold clovers a few foam stickers to add some dimension.
Simple and cute.

I love this quote I found on a card I saw on Pintrest. You can use it anywhere on anything. What it says is so true.

I was delighted to find this Irish cross. When I read it I was surprised. This is the quote our preacher leaves us with at the end of each service! I love it and did not know that it was an Irish Blessing.

These are some other Irish Blessings I found, you can print them on your computer and use any of the cute fonts that are available.

A few more blessings. This was a fun page. It took me a while to create it because there is so much stuff I wanted to use, I couldn't make up my mind. I hope you enjoy it and for those of you who are coming to "Craft & Crop" I can't wait to create it with you.

Remember, we will be having another event in March, so don't forget to request your spot.
Thank you for coming over to Passionatlycrafty to share ideas.

Something New at Jo-Ann's

Jo-Ann has started something new and I am excited about it. Any group of people can reserve the Education room for any event they would like. It costs nothing!! All you have to do is check with the Education Coordinator (That would be me at the Hurst store) and if there is no class scheduled during that time period that you need, it is yours. I have a great classroom. I already have the "Bow Dazzling" group meeting here every first Sunday from 3:00pm-6:00pm every month and we have made this a permanent meeting time for them every month. If you would like to volunteer time, this is a great way to do it. It benefits cancer patients (young ladies), they have all the supplies made up into kits and you come and they teach you how to make hair accessories that are donated to these young ladies with cancer and other serious illnesses. I took my granddaughter and a friend of hers. They had a great time. I think it is important to teach our young people the value in helping others. It will helps build good character.  So, if you have something you need a room for call or come see me and we can make arrangements to reserve out room for you. Please pass this on to friends and groups you know.

Jo-Ann's number:817-590-2672
Ask for Marye or Candi and If we are not there, make sure they take a message with your name and number so we can call you back.
