Next Just-a-scrapping Design Team project "Anything Goes!"

The project we were requested to create is using any sewing technique, our favorite color and chipboard. So here is another project using scraps from various recent projects I have been doing.

I recycle the backs of the paper packs, they are made from chip board. I covered it with green card stock. I cut the pretty picture from another paper pack from DCWV and then framed it with scrap card stock, (orange and red. The orange ribbon was from a Halloween project, the rhinestones from a past project from a year ago, and the string came from the scraps from a jewelry project. The flower embellishments came from a project that I am working on for my "Craft & Crop Night coming up on May 25. This was quick and easy. You can hang it on a wall or display it on an easel. You could  add buttons to the center of the flowers. There ya go!

Helping a Friend

I have a wonderful young man who lives down the street from me and he is physically disabled. But, he doesn't let that stop him. He is constantly at work finding ways to earn money to help with his upkeep. (He lives with his mom). He creates these beautiful bookmakers in the shape of a cross, in many colors. He charges only $2.00 each. If you know of someone who would like one or would like to purchase a bunch of them to use as gifts or hands for an event, let me know and I will find a way to get them to you. I have one and I love it.

Just-a-scrappin Design Team challange #51

Our challenge this time is to make a Mother's Day project using pink and lavender add ribbon and sparkles.

I used a purple base card and layered a stripped pattern piece of cardstock 1/4 inch smaller, then found a green patterned paper I liked and cut it 1/4 inch smaller.

Before I attached the green patterened paper I used glue dots to attach the fun piece of ribbon from my scrap bin and then took some lavender 1/4 inch ribbon also from by scrap bin, and tied a cute bow, this I attached with a glue dot. All of this paper came from K&Company Sparkly Sweet paper pack. In that pack is a sheet that has different size butterfly and Dragonflys on it. I cut one out free hand and cut the different parts separate and layerd them to give this pretty Butterfly a 3-D look.

I had this cut quote already created from our last "Craft & Crop" at the Bird House and used it here. The rinestone stickers were from a previous project also. You know how I love to recycle!
Hope you enjoyed this one.

P.S. Just a reminder If you are wanting to join us at the Bird House for May 25 "Craft & Crop" at 6:30, send me an email so I can save you a space. bdmebird@yahoo.com
